Work Together. Communicate Better. Achieve More.
Grade Level: 9-12 | Format: Interactive Workshop | Duration: 1 Hour
WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION
Help students strengthen communication, cooperation, problem-solving, and trust through team challenges, group activities, and reflection. Students practice active listening, sharing responsibility, resolving disagreements constructively, and working together toward a common goal.
This interactive one-hour workshop gives students opportunities to experience how successful teams communicate, make decisions, navigate different perspectives, and overcome challenges. Through collaborative games and hands-on activities, students will explore the importance of teamwork, recognize individual strengths, and learn how their actions can contribute to a group's success.
Students will leave with practical strategies for working effectively with others in the classroom, extracurricular activities, and everyday situations.
Audience: High school students
Workshop duration: 1 hour
WORKSHOP STRUCTURE
Students participate in a quick icebreaker that encourages introductions, builds connections, and helps them recognize shared interests and individual strengths.
Small groups complete a hands-on challenge that requires cooperation, planning, and shared decision-making. Students reflect on what helped or hindered their progress.
Students practice active listening, clear communication, asking questions, and checking their understanding through short partner and group activities.
Teams identify individual strengths and assign roles to complete a shared task. Students explore accountability, participation, and the importance of including everyone's contributions.
Students work through realistic scenarios involving misunderstandings, differing opinions, or unequal participation. They practice respectful communication, compromise, and constructive ways to resolve disagreements.
Students apply what they have learned in a final collaborative challenge, then reflect on how communication, trust, flexibility, and shared responsibility affected the outcome.
Students identify one teamwork strength and one skill they want to improve, then commit to a practical way to apply that skill in school or everyday life.
